Traditional Marquees

Our Traditional Marquees give your wedding or event a classic English-country feel. Canvas, Norwegian spruce king poles and timber side poles create a warm, relaxed setting that sits naturally on lawns, in gardens and in open countryside.

Each marquee is made here in the UK and finished with hand-turned finials and wooden pegs from long-established British makers. The result is a structure that’s not only vintage in style, but built with real craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Traditional Marquees are ideal for country-house weddings, garden parties, festivals and celebrations across Kent — particularly around Canterbury, Whitstable and the surrounding East Kent villages.

Just want to say a big thank you to you and all your team for your professionalism in making our daughter's wedding such a great day. Your team worked tirelessly, even managing to laugh and joke, despite the awful rain! What a great team you have behind you. We will certainly be recommending you to our friends.

Petal Marquees

Our Petal Marquees are light, airy canopies with a scalloped canopy and sweeping ridge line – perfect if you’d like something a little different from a traditional tent (View our gallery for recent examples).

Made by a family-run marquee maker that has been in business for over 100 years in the South East, they share the same quality timber poles, ropes and finials as our Traditional range, but with a softer, more contemporary shape.

The sides can be detached completely to open the space to the view, making Petal Marquees ideal for summer weddings, garden receptions and relaxed parties throughout Kent, including coastal settings around Whitstable and Herne Bay.

The petal marquee we hired for our wedding was beautiful and we were delighted with the services provided by Kristian and his team.  They took the time to understand what we were looking for and made recommendations such that we got the perfect fit for our celebrations. Thank you Maypole - we will definitely be recommending you to our friends and family.

Sailcloth Marquees

Our Sailcloth Marquees are the newest addition to our range, combining panoramic window walls with high, sweeping roofs for bright, open spaces. They work beautifully for sunset receptions and evening parties where you want to feel connected to the surroundings.

Norwegian spruce king poles and bevelled wooden side poles give the structure strength and a clean, elegant silhouette, while the soft sailcloth material diffuses light to create a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Sailcloth Marquees are ideal for modern weddings, corporate events and private celebrations across Kent — particularly in scenic countryside around Canterbury, Faversham and the wider East Kent area.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which marquee style is best for my event?

Each marquee has its own character. Sailcloth Marquees suit modern weddings and events with open views, Petal Marquees offer a softer, contemporary shape, and Traditional Marquees create a classic English-country feel. We’re happy to recommend the best option based on your location, guest numbers and the atmosphere you want to create.

Do you cover my area?

We provide marquees throughout Kent, regularly working in and around Canterbury, Whitstable, Faversham, Thanet and the wider East Kent countryside. If your event is slightly further afield, just let us know and we’ll confirm availability.

How long does setup and takedown usually take?

Most marquees are set up the day before your event and taken down the following day, depending on access and weather. Larger structures or more detailed interiors may take a little longer, and we’ll always plan this with you in advance.

Can we customise the layout?

Yes. Seating plans, dance floors, bar areas, chill-out spaces and entrances can all be arranged to suit your event. You can also add finishing touches such as lighting, bars, furniture and décor from our Accessories range.

What happens if the weather is bad?

All of our marquees are designed to withstand typical British weather. We secure everything carefully on installation, and sidewalls can be added or removed depending on the forecast and the feel you want for the day.

Do you offer guidance on site suitability?

Yes. If you’re unsure whether your garden, venue or outdoor space is suitable, we can arrange a site visit to check access, ground conditions and layout options before you book.
